I have to get my piano removed as I am downsizing and just don’t have room for it. Your tips made me realize I should probably look for a professional that can remove it for me so it doesn’t get damaged.

My brother is going to move but he has a large grand piano that is going with him. It may be beneficial for him to hire a professional company to help him move it.

That’s two pieces that slide under each end of the (upright) piano, and then has a mechanism that lifts the piano onto wheels for you.

Can a small grand, 5′ 2″, be moved a few feet across carpet, in order to install hardwood which is 3/4″ thick, and then back over the newly installed hardwood, simply by rolling the piano 6 feet or so.

Will this harm it

I just want to move mine away from the wall so I can pull up the carpet, and refinish the floor.
